The Internet- Dun Dun Dun

That's a great title, if I do say so myself. Ok so let's dive into the internet. Where do I begin?

It caused a massive wave effect that impacted all forms of other media. The accessibility of digital products has made other forms of pricing obsolete. Why pay $20 for a physical movie disc if you can get free online by streaming or other websites (cough cough YouTube cough cough)?

This is hurting the bottom line of many media industries. I just used the movie industry as an example, but you can also substitute movies in the sentence in the previous paragraph for pretty much anything. Books, music, newspapers, magazines, you could go on and on. Heck, I could go on and on. Ok, I'll stop being funny now and focus.

It also effected crime. I really want to draw a political cartoon that says "Bank robbery in the '90s" and has two men in ski masks with guns stealing money while a frightened teller watches and then have "Bank robbery today" with some nerd in front of his computer screen just taking people's money digitally. The punishment for digital bank theft is far less severe than committing the felony of armed bank robbery.

Those were just a few ways that the internet has impacted us. There are many more that I haven't discussed yet, but I have a whole post planned on one way that I didn't mention.
